Our little girl is 2!!!

Like you hear all the time..... "you better watch out they grow up so fast!" I use to always be in denial when I heard that but it's honestly true!!
Because her birthday was on a Sunday we were able to go home and celebrate with both of our families. The spoiled little girl got two parties and loved every minute of it.
She loves Sesame Street & especially ELMO so she got an Elmo Birthday Party.

She loved the "jumpoline" at the Christensens & so did all the cousins.

I love this picture, it shows such sweet innocence... who knows though it was probably right before/after she was pulling Sienna's hair:)

Then there's this cute little sweetie that I can't get enough of. She just sat in the high chair & loved watching everything.

Pin the nose on the clown was a huge hit!!!

Chloe loves her Aunt Tara

Sienna & Chloe opening her fun gifts

One of the fun sides to our yummy soup. Chloe was determined to have an "ELMO" party!!

She's just waiting patiently for everyone to take their places. She was so excited for her Elmo Cake!!

It was super funny- She couldn't blow out the candle. She kept blowing the air up with her lips. Finally her cousins were sick of it & Kelly came out from nowhere & did it for her. It was pretty fun!!

They were having so much fun rolling around!

Drew & Chloe had lots of fun drawing on this cool pad. It's
has water in the pen & only draws on the pad.

Grandma Smith made the cutest & yummiest Elmo cake. Thank goodness we celebrated over two days, there was sure lots of yummy treats!!

Chloe just loved everything about her birthday. She loves to tell people she is 2! She is still working on how to hold that many fingers up but it'll come.

Chloe sure loves her daddy. All day long she'll ask me where he is.... she waits by the door patiently when she finally hears the car pull in the garage.
--------------------------------------------------------------

Chloe truly is such a sweet, sweet, loving girl.....
but at the same time she can have such a strong personality & it is her way or no way!!
She loves to give loves & kisses.
She loves to say hello to anybody that walks by us in the stores.
She loves her grandparents SO MUCH!
She LOVES to sing her ABC'S!
She loves KETCHUP and more ketchup.
She'll eat pancakes for most any meal, even if it's all 3 in one day.
She LOVES nursery.
She loves to color.
She's getting better at smiling for the camera, (still working on keeping her eyes open)
She likes to eat "Chi-Chis" aka cookies.
She loves to play with anyones hair that will let her.
She loves her books, especially her Max & Millie books.
She loves her little sister even if she shows her love by occasionally biting her:(
She loves to sing, "JESUS" aka "I am a Child of God" & "A Childs Prayer"
She almost has all of her teeth... still waiting on the canines to come through completely.
Slowly working on potty training.
She LOVES MILK!!
She loves to help mom cook & clean!!

WHAT A YEAR!!!!

Evans Hair College
January 2011-January 2012

Those of you that know me, know that deep down inside I have always had the desire to learn more about hair & eventually attend hair school. Out of high school I attended UVSC to further my education with other interests that I had. But in the back of my head I kept wishing I was just at hair school. I continued to do some research with the schools in Orem, but kept coming home not sure how I would make it work with working full-time etc. I then decided to move to Connecticut to be a nanny to save some money to make it work when I returned. But then after a 1 1/2 years being a nanny it then turned into 1 1/2 years serving my mission then getting married 5 months after I got home..... it just didn't work out. In no way do I regret the choices I have made I am actually so grateful that I did.... because of them that is why I am where I am:)

So now after being married for 5 1/2 years & having 2 kids I can say that I DID IT!!!!

It was definitely a crazy/busy year but I can say that it was FUN YEAR TOO!!! Here are some pictures to recap the incredible year I had at Evans Hair College!!

This is the class I started with. In the beginning there were about 11 of us. The January class is usually one of the smaller classes.

Me, Emily Herdt & Whitney Shurtz
(me & Whit were both pregnant when we started)

Hair Show May 2011 Salt Lake City
(Got to love the pregnant bellies:))

With me and Whitney both being pregnant we were both up for a change.... so we let them put us on stage & this was the outcome....

She got cute straight-across bangs & I got...... Justin Beiber bangs:)

Sage, Me, Emily, Kenzie & Derk our teacher/the owner.

I'll never forget this morning. This was taken right before we went to take our practical test in Ogden..... I've never been so stinkin nervous.

Last minute pictures on my last day.... man I am going to miss all the students & instructors there.

Me and Angie

Sage rolling her last perms

It was hard being gone every Saturday.
So Chase would come by for a visit & so I could style Chloe's hair.

Some other fun Highlights!!

For one of our assignments we got teamed up with another student & had to do a 20's due! Meaning that we had to do & use what they had in the 1920's. Well that includes basically nothing that we use today. So we did pin curls on the whole entire head & sprayed it with SPRITE (because they had similar drinks then)
&
WHALA............
these are the curls you can get with those two things!!!

We also got paired up in groups & had to do demonstrations on a certain product & try to sell it. Can you tell who we had by what we're wearing???
Yes, Paul Mitchell.

FANTASY UPDO Competition
Another competition was to use our imagination & basically create anything. This cute girl was the winner & I only wish I could say that she was my model.

Instead..... this was our rainbow. We had plans for an amazing octopus only to find out one hour before that someone else was doing the same thing so we switched gears quick & this is what we came up with. Katie was such a trooper:)

HALLOWEEN 2011
So the Evans LOVE HALLOWEEN. We totally got to decorate our stations and dress up. Believe it or not this is Derk my instructor below... it was a great costume.

Got to love the creativity!!

This was my station that I decorated... I took 2nd place & won $50 towards product, that definitely put a big smile on my face:)

I could go on about all of the great experiences I had this last year with school & all the things I learned & friends I made....
I am just so truly thankful for how smoothly this year went. Thank you to all of the friends and family that helped me & Chase with our girls. I still can't believe that I was able to still graduate 2nd in my class even after having a baby!!
So what does this year bring???
I am hoping to get a part time job that will help me continue my experience & clientele. Eventually I'll do it out of my home when I get the set up but until then-
I AM GOING TO FOCUS ON BEING A MOM!!!

*MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Things were a little different this year with Christmas. My family celebrated a week early because my sister had lots going on in Texas..
.... (definition of lots= All of the following the WEEK OF CHRISTMAS..... Due with a baby, 2 childrens birthdays, husbands birthday, Anniversary, the babies baby blessing, childs baptism and of course Christmas Eve & Christmas Day!!!! Yes, all the week of Christmas.... can you imagine? Well, Audrey you're truly amazing & I
only hope someday to be more like you, LOV
E YOU TONS!!) Anyway, so my mom & little brother went to help out in Texas so we did our thing early.

Kinley is just loving that she finally gets the go-ahead to play with paper. No picture of her adorable minkie blankie that grandma made inside, but believe me it's adorable.

We weren't sure if Chloe would give up her old blankie for her new minkie blankie... but no worries. The old blanket in the back & just loving the new one. My mom is super talented with sewing so we are very spoiled. I am just a little worried though because I don't know all the tricks.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CHRISTMAS DAY!!

Chloe was just loving the month. We did an advent calendar most nights (we were slackers & forgot on the others). We drove around a bunch looking at the lights. We obviously saw Santa a whole bunch. Watched lots of Christmas shows (Barney's Christmas episode especially). She loved helping turn the lights on everyday for the tree & the house. She enjoyed reading the childrens version of the nativity & the Snowmen book. She loved seeing all the treats that mom kept around the house... which was too many:) She loves putting on her winter coat which can be quite the process because she will not go anywhere until the zipper & ALL the snaps are done up, her gloves on & in her pockets with the hood on. Which is fine until we go to church & the last thing I want on is her hood to mess up her hair, oh well.

Christmas morning Chloe was excited to see that Santa left her her very own Red Flyer, pink tricycle.
and a LeapPad
Kinley on the other hand was just happy to be there like always.
The morning continued on & Kinley surprisingly got somewhat fussy so we didn't take her to church with us... so I missed the picture with both of them in their matching Christmas dresses:(.
Chloe & Sienna sharing the tricycle around the house.
They both got LeapPads... so they were enjoying being busy with them.
Sienna and Kinley
Our somewhat family picture. The two girls were off their schedules bad... when Kinley finally fell asleep and woke up Chloe had fallen asleep.
While we're smiling.... Chloe is sleeping
When we finally got home and both girls got some rest Chloe made sure that they got to play in their new sleeping bags & blankies. They were both very very spoiled this year!!
What a special time of year it has been. It was fun to go to church on Christmas Day & celebrate the Saviors birthday through beautiful music. I love being a mom especially with fun days like these it makes every second so memorable!!!

CHRISTMAS EVE

Chloe is such a little "lover/cuddler" she loves to say hi to everyone & kiss & hug those she knows. She's super friendly & loving. This year we spent Christmas Eve with Chase's side (my mom & little brother were with my sister in Texas, so we celebrated the week earlier). We sure had a fun time with the Fowles, like always. Deb put together a fun game this year & it sure had us on our toes.

I love how Chloe new what to do as soon as she saw Great Grandpa Bill... give him loves!!

Chloe is really starting to enjoy this Santa thing. The third time around is definitely a charm!! She loves her Minnie Mouse that she got & makes sure it's on her bed everynight.

Kinley still not sure what is going on but just smiles likes always:)
