Family Getaway
to
Park City

We were having a birthday party for my grandpa at my brothers house in Salt Lake and decided to make it a weekend of fun with the family.
We went straight to Park City from Cedar City.  We really enjoyed the scenery and how the colors were starting to change.

Took a little break for the girls to stretch at the park at the Outlets.
Kinley is getting so independent and loves the playground for that very reason.
Spent the evening enjoying the Park City scenery.
We ate at a yummy Mexican Restaurant by the Alpine Slide... it's a favorite.
The next day we decided to go walk around the Draper Temple Grounds.  I loved all the different color of flowers that they did the landscaping with.  Like all the temples, it is so truly gorgeous.
 My 3 favorite people
The pretty view behind the temple.
Chloe is getting to such a fun age and asking lots of questions.
She kept asking why she couldn't go in... so I continued to answer her questions.  I forget how smart a little 2-year old can be.
She remembers & notices so much!!

6 YEARS!!!

Chase and I had our 6 year wedding anniversary!!
The older I get the more I continue to realize how quickly time is ticking away.  I can truly say that I feel like Chase & I have made the best of the 6 years we've had together and I can't wait for more!
I can't help but stop and think about the first time I met Chase and that was when I just moved to Delta.  I was the "new girl" at school and he kept chasing me.
I love how long we've known each other and all the fun memories we've made since that first day of school in 9th grade.  But the day I'll remember even more is the day we were married in the Salt Lake Temple.  What a special day that'll I'll cherish for forever!!
Thanks Chase for everything,
 I love you so much!!

New Addiction for Chase & I= CROSSFIT!!!

Chase and I started crossfit almost exactly a year ago.  Our neighbor talked Chase into trying it because he was kind of skeptical of the whole idea and a year later we are hooked!!
It has been so nice to do it TOGETHER!!
If you haven't heard of it you better check it out.  Most crossfit gyms have the same idea but some do more lifting, cardio than others.  I LOVE our gym.  We're like one big family and it's a blast.  I remember the first time we walked in.... I kept thinking where are all the treadmills, elipticals and weight machines.  I couldn't believe that this warehouse looking building is where people were working out.  Soon to find out that they refer to it as the "box."
Well, not only have we got a new addiction, created some great friendships but we're loving the change!!!

Here is Chase doing a #155 pound thruster...
yes that is more than he weighs:).... GO CHASER!!
Lots of 20 foot rope climbs....
It's a great feeling when you ring the bell when you get to the top!!
Me starting a workout with a 500 meter row
Some of the workouts have names....
this workout is "ANNIE" and it includes:
-50 double unders
-50 situps
-40 double unders
-40 situps
-30 double unders
-30 situps...... and so on down to 10.
The first time I did this one it wasn't a time I was proud of... the situps killed me!!
But now I have finally made it to the leader board:)

So the MESSAGE IS if you're looking for a change with your workout, CHECK out the closest Crossfit Gym to YOU!!

CEDAR CITY 1/2 MARATHON!!!

Chase & I kept playing with the idea of doing the Cedar 1/2 Marathon together.  Finally the week before when we were debating what to do for our 6 year wedding anniversary we decided this year we would do the 1/2.  So we signed up!!!  Signing up the week before was so not like me.  Last year I signed up 2+ months before and trained for it.  The thought of not training for it was a little mind-boggling.  The most I had ran before the race was probably 6 miles and that was maybe 1 or 2 times:).  So needless to say I was a little anxious to get it over with.
Once again my goal was like last years and that was just to
FINISH AND NOT STOP or WALK.
Well the results are in:
Chase finished in 1:37.04 which gave him a pace of 7:24.6/mile!!
DeAnna finished in 1:42:27.8 which gave me a pace of 7:48.3/ mile!!
(The best part is that I improved my time from last year by more than 30 minutes!!!)

The picture that I kept looking forward to and kept me going through the whole race.
Chase thought that I was funny for taking advantage of this... but I say, WHY NOT??
THE PROOF!

So until next year
or
I decide to run a full marathon before then..........
I have officially crossed 1/2 marathon off the bucket list TWICE!!!

Photo Shoot!!

A couple of weeks ago we decided to put the girls in the same room so that we could make a playroom with the other.  So that has given me a chance to put some ideas together to decorate their new room.  I needed some profile pictures for one of the ideas I had and this was some of our photo shoot.  It's so funny to me how many different smiles the girls have (specifically Chloe:))  Thank goodness I finally got some profiles at the end.
Pictures of the room coming soon... it's almost done, YAY!!

Here is what I did with their profile pictures...

Fun, huh??  So can you tell who is who??

Day trip to Aurora to see Great Grandpa and Great Grandpa Bailey

We made a quick trip to Aurora to visit and help Grandma do some canning.

I started doing some of my own canning this year and jumped on the chance to go and learn some pointers from my grandma. We mostly did peaches but she sent me home with much much more.  Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of me and grandma canning.... but it was lots of fun.  It was crazy, but fun!!!  My grandma is someone that I'll always look up to and admire for the hard worker she is and always has been.  Chloe and Kinley had lots of fun and keep asking when we can go back to grandmas house.

On the way there I looked in the rear-view mirror to check on the girls and this is what I saw.... it put a huge grin on my face.  This continued for at least 10 minutes.
Kinley loved the garden.  She loves ALL fruits and some veggies.  She just wanted to try everything she could see.

Chloe loved helping grandpa pick the carrots and tomatoes.

FUN times at the Doctors office

I remember being terrified every time I had to go to the doctors office when I was younger.  The thought of having to possibly get a shot just terrified me no matter the reward at the end.
Well.... NOT my girls.
Instead they make the most of it and just giggle and get excited to see our great pediatrician that they really enjoy.
It's impossible to get a normal, smiling shot of these two so here is a little picture overload:)......

Still can't express how much I love these two.  There growing like weeds and getting more and more personality by the minute!!!

Here are the stats (for my records:))

Chloe 2 1/2 years
Weight: 25 lbs 10 oz (13%)
Height: 36 1/2 in (72%)
HC: 49 1/2 cm (81%)

Kinley 1 year
Weight: 21 lbs 8 oz (39%)
Height: 30 in (51%)
HC: 47 1/2 cm (91%)

More story time
at
Homestead Museum.

Chloe loved story time today.
They first started by reading a book about how the mail used to be delivered through the Pony Express.  Afterwards, they then had them play a game where they had to pass off the mail.  They rode their wooden horses and delivered their envelopes and traded off horses.  She would have done this all day if she could.

Passing off to Jeter
Hanging out with Kamree
Waiting
